keerai kadasal

Let me post an authentic kongunadu keerai kadasal. It goes well with hot rice and also raggi kali. Ingredients 1 bunch     greens  (sirukeerai/kaatukeerai/thoiyal) handfull of small onions peeled 2 nos        greenchillis 2               garlic pods 1tsp           jeera(cumin) salt to taste 1tsp          butter Method Clean greens(keerai).ie  take only the leaves and tip of greens. Add stems only if they are tender. wash throughly in water and drain. In a pan add 1/2 cup water add small onions, green chillies , garlic pods and jeera. Bring it to boil and cook on slow fire for 5 minutes. Now add greens, salt and place the butter on the top and close the lid. cook on slow fire. After 5 minutes remove allow it to cool . churn coarsly with blender. Goes well with rice and ragi balls. Add greenchillies according to their hotness. you can s...

Though you find the recipes similar ,a few  differences make it taste different.  Some simple tricks make cooking easier and tastier.
